The Ice Princess variation gives Princess Donut a cooler, electric color palette while keeping every bit of her unmistakable royal attitude.
Measuring approximately 20.5” x 20.5”, Ice Princess features a striking combination of electric blues, brilliant cyan, violet, lavender, and touches of pink. Her vivid turquoise eyes stand out against the darker shadows of her face, while the metallic gold crown and brilliant red jewels provide a warm contrast to the cool-toned palette.
The coordinating frame continues the color scheme with gradients shifting between deep blue, turquoise, violet, and icy highlights, all set against a deep black background that allows the colors and intricate silhouette work to stand out.
Each portrait begins with 3/4” MDF cut individually by hand on a scroll saw. After cutting, the piece is carefully hand-sanded and prepared for painting before being individually airbrushed with high-quality acrylic paints. Gradients, highlights, shadows, and subtle color transitions are built up throughout the portrait to create depth while preserving the crisp details of the original scroll-sawn design.
