Stag at Sunset combines the timeless silhouette of a whitetail buck with a bold, vibrant sunset palette. Standing among a forest of detailed evergreens, the stag becomes the centerpiece of a scene transitioning through glowing yellow, fiery orange and scarlet, vivid magenta, and deep violet.
Measuring approximately 22” x 20.5”, the entire woodland silhouette is set against a deep black background, allowing the brilliant colors and intricate scroll saw details of the trees, antlers, and forest floor to stand out dramatically.
The coordinating frame continues the sunset theme with warm golden yellow and orange transitioning into deeper red tones, creating a finished piece that feels equally at home in a rustic cabin, modern living space, hunting lodge, or colorful gallery wall.
Like all of my handcrafted artwork, Stag at Sunset is made individually by hand. The intricate stag and forest design is cut on a scroll saw, carefully hand-sanded, prepared for painting, and then airbrushed with high-quality acrylic paints. Multiple colors are blended together to create smooth gradients and transitions throughout the scene.
Because each piece is individually cut, sanded, painted, and assembled by hand, small variations in the gradients, highlights, color placement, and finish are part of the handmade process and make every piece unique.
